Caring for your wax print garment
WASHING
- You can hand wash, machine wash or dry clean your wax print garment
- If hand or machine washing, use cold or warm water
- There is no need to use a garment bag
- Fading with hand or machine washing should be minimal, but if you are concerned you can test with swatches
STORAGE
- There is nothing special to note about storing wax prints. You can simply fold and store them with the rest of your garments
PRESSING
- To maintain your wax fabric's crispness over time, we recommend occasionally applying a starch spray when ironing your garment (you can purchase a starch spray at your local Pick 'n Pay)
- Set your iron for the appropriate temperature for cotton, then you are good to go
- It is advisable to iron from the inside of your garment or using an ironing cloth if unsure of your iron settings to avoid damaging your garment
- Extend the lifespan of your garment by hanging your garment to dry, rather than exposing it to the harsh effects of a tumble dryer where possible
